Apprentices are the future of our trade and the ETU NSW Branch would like to recognize the importance of this group of electrical industry workers through the annual ETU Apprentice of the Year Award
.
The ETU Apprentice of the Year Award has been established to recognize an outstanding apprentice each year. The union sponsored award will be presented to an apprentice who has excelled in both TAFE/Trade studies and workplace performance.
Nominations are now open for the inaugural ETU Apprentice of theYear which will be draw from any industry covered by the ETU, this may include electrical, cable joiners, linesmen, communications and others. Apprentices may nominate themselves or be nominated by their boss, colleague or family.
The annual winner will receive public recognition through the ETU's magazine LiveWire and on our website while also receiving a prize supplied by the ETU. The 2011 apprentice of the year will receive a classic stand up paddle board valued at $1,600.
Nominations for the ETU Apprentice of the Year Award are now open and must be received by the ETU office no later than 4.30pm, Friday 30 September, 2011. The successful apprentice will be notified by 14 October, 2011 along with coverage in the Summer edition of LiveWire.
