Training and recognition of your skills is essential to your career development, job satisfaction and ability to move jobs within your industry and across the country.

That is why the ETU established the Electro Group Training Company and the Electro Tech Skill Centre, which has provide apprenticeships and training to thousands of ETU members. The ETU has also been active in representing members' interests on Industry Training Boards and other organisations.

ETU members are amongst the most highly skilled in the country. Through our heavy involvement in training, we play a major role in setting the standards for the electrical and electronic industry. The ETU understands the importance of training so that we are not left behind in an era of continual technological change.

The union's involvement in training has helped to ensure that members have access to quality training that is relevant to their employment needs.

Members of the ETU also have access to a wide range of trade union training courses which aim to equip members with the skills and knowledge they need to protect and advance their own and other members' interests.
