ETU members at plasterboard maker ETEX have won a 9% pay rise over three years after taking strike action.
The Belgian-owned company caved in during the first day of industrial action on Wednesday.
Around 40 workers including CFMEU Manufacturing AMWU - Australian Manufacturing Workers' Union and ETU members will receive three annual 3% wage increases, backpaid to May.
ETU members achieved the introduction of Electrical Licence Allowance, and will seek to increase its rate in the next EBA.
‘This is a great outcome by a determined group who backed their reasonable claims with strike action,’ said ETU organiser Stewart Edward.
‘The result proves again that workers who stick together win’⚡️
