Stoppages
All ETU members described below should take the following stoppages on Tuesday 26 October:
All ETU members: Two-hour stoppage 7-9 am (Safety Commitments apply, see below)
Day and rostered shift workers: Five one-hour stoppages 8-9 am, 9-10 am, 10-11 am, 11 am-12 pm, 12-1 pm (Safety Commitments apply, see below)
Afternoon (CAW) and rostered shift workers: Four one-hour stoppages 5-6 pm, 6-7 pm, 7-8 pm, 8-9 pm (Safety Commitments apply, see below)
Please note, these are legally Protected stoppages, not bans. You will be docked only for the time of the stoppages you take, you will not be docked for the full day.
Overtime ban continues
All ETU members should apply legally Protected Industrial Action in the form of an Overtime Ban up to and including Wednesday 27 October. Please note this ban is subject to the Safety Commitments below.

Here are the applicable Safety Commitments:
Stoppages of work
As a commitment to safety, during any stoppage of work:
(i) remain at the place where they usually commence work;
(ii) be ready, willing and able to perform unplanned work that, if not performed imminently, would create a serious and imminent threat to human life; and
a)in circumstances where such work is required for a hospital, nursing home, essential telecommunication hub, police station, SES depot, fire station, ambulance station, utility stations/plants for water and/or sewerage, traffic lights and/or life support customers, will comply with a written direction from the employer to perform such work to the extent required to restore power and avert the serious and imminent threat to human life; and
b)in all other circumstances where such work is required, will comply with a written direction from the employer to perform such work to the extent necessary to avert the serious and imminent threat to human life (which may or may not include restoring power).
Bushfire Rectification Work Safety Commitment
As a safety commitment, all industrial action, including stoppages and bans, will not apply to employees who are directed to perform tasks required to complete bush fire rectification jobs.
Defective, mains and apparatus (DM&A) works Safety Commitment
As a safety commitment, until 11.59 pm Friday 22 October, employees who are members of the CEPU and are directed to perform a task necessary to defective, mains and apparatus works will not engage in any form of protected industrial action in respect of that task.
