O'Farrell Backflips on Power Promise

The O'Farrell Government have backflipped on a key pre election promise following the announcement that the NSW Government will sell the publicly owned power generators. Justice Brian Tamberlin QC has released his full report on the electricity transactions and future direction of the industry in NSW. Justice Tamberlin recommends that purther privatisation of the states electricity generators be undertaken but does not recommend the privatisation of the publicily owned distribution and transmission monopolies.
